Controlled Processing for Quality Graphite
Natural crystalline graphite is produced through a controlled mining and beneficiation process designed to liberate graphite from the host rock while maximizing recovery and preserving flake quality.
Following mining, the ore is crushed, ground and beneficiated by flotation to separate graphite from conventional gangue minerals.
Flake Quality & Recovery
The process is designed to maximize graphite recovery while preserving the desired flake characteristics.
From Mineral Liberation to Clean High-Purity Natural Crystalline Graphite
Each stage of processing is carefully controlled to improve graphite recovery, reject unwanted minerals and produce a cleaner, higher-quality concentrate.
Crushing & Grinding
Following mining, graphite ore is crushed and ground to liberate graphite from the host rock and prepare the material for beneficiation.
Flotation & Impurity Removal
Flotation separates graphite from gangue minerals. Specialized collectors, flotation aids and depressants help improve graphite recovery and reject unwanted impurities.
Drying & Classification
The concentrate is dewatered and dried under controlled conditions before being screened and classified into required commercial particle-size fractions.
Cleaner Concentrate, Better Performance
Particular attention is given to the removal of biotite, mica and other micaceous impurities. These minerals can adversely affect graphite's electrical and thermal properties.
Their effective removal enhances graphite quality and performance, making the concentrate more suitable for refractory applications and uses where electrical and thermal conductivity are important.
Discuss Your RequirementSized for Industrial Requirements
After drying, the graphite is screened and classified into required commercial particle-size fractions.
| Product Size | Approximate Particle Size | Typical Description |
|---|---|---|
| +50 Mesh | Approximately >300 microns | Coarser graphite fraction |
| +80 Mesh | Approximately >180 microns | Medium/coarse graphite fraction |
| −80 Mesh Fines | Approximately <180 microns | Fine graphite fraction |
Particle-size ranges are approximate and may be controlled according to specific commercial and customer requirements.
